The quietest Cannonball Run in history! Tesla style
Being old enough to remember Burt Reynolds and Sammy Davies Jnr in the original Cannonball Run this article jumped out at me. What a piece of marketing for Tesla, and hopefully all EV's. The model S is of course very eye catching, and if you see (if not hear) a convoy of vehicles on a road trip that sends quite a message. EVs are becoming mainstream and are not tied to a 30 mile range.
I'm looking forward to the day I can join the model S club and road trip myself.
n an email to owners, Tesla has kicked off what it’s calling “The Electric Road Trip,” with a smattering of destinations lined up at a handful of — wait for it — destination charger locations around the world. These locations are mapped out on a new page over at Tesla.com (here) and showcases events by region. These events highlight both the variety and wide distribution of destination chargers around the world as well as the sheer number of miles Tesla owners have put on their vehicles around the world, which now totals over 2.5 billion.
