While you might come to Chiswick for it's wonderful river frontage or historic Chiswick House, over 8,000 people make a weekday journey to Chiswick Park for work. This thriving business hub, located five miles from Central London and eight miles from Heathrow, is home to over 20 flourishing businesses.
Recently it's employees and employers came together in a 'Go Green' event to celebrate Earth Day.
Eco-friendly approaches promoted on the day included cycling to work, enjoying 'meat free' Mondays and green treadmills from Virgin Active, which are not powered by electricity.
Employees also attended workshops focused on biodiversity, energy saving, and waste and recycling before taking part in some tree planting.
It's a refreshing change to see some many people positively supporting such an initiative - something Chiswick should be proud of.
Gareth Bain, head of brand at Chiswick Park said: “The Go Green event is line with the Chiswick Park sustainability strategy in ensuring that we all work together to make the planet better for the next generation. If we all come together and do just a little bit we will make a big difference. It about taking small steps in the right direction.”
