After two days of debate, the Lancashire County Council planning committee has deferred a decision on a fracking application at Little Plumpton until Monday. This is the one that officers recommended last week should be approved. The committee is spending today and tomorrow considering the other application, which officers recommeneded be refused.

This application was made on 2 June last year, so has already taken a year to be determined, even if it is approved by the council, which shows how carefully the council are being in considering it. It's not surprising since it would be the first fracking permission since an earthquake stopped play four years ago.
