Not a very newsworthy story in the telegraph. There is some clear scaremongering going on here and its being done suspiciously close to the general election. I wonder what people in Britain would do if we still had bears and wolves. People in other countries deal with wildlife that REALLY is dangerous and often manage to co-exist. Badgers are cautious animals and do not attack humans. I bet this poor badger was far more shocked than the man at this sudden encounter.
A pensioner says he is living fear of a "super badger" the size of a large pig with 6in teeth. Terry Cooper, 79, was enjoying the sunshine in his garden with his Jack Russell Sam when the huge animal burst through a hedge with two cubs. Mr Cooper said his dog turned in terror and dragged him back indoors - and fears he could have been attacked if his pet had not been there.
